Changes to Membership Fees

At the 2022 Annual General Meeting the Chairman explained that membership fees must be increased. This is because Charities Commission regulations say that we cannot give more benefit to members than our subscription income. Substantial Increases in printing costs for the Journal mean this regulation now applies.

An Extraordinary General Meeting was held on October 25th  to review subscriptions. At this meeting it was decided that from January 1st 2023 BHHS Membership Fees will be as follows:

The cost of a single membership will increase from £17 to £20.
The cost of joint membership will increase from £20 to £30.
Overseas membership will increase to £30 for all countries.

Members who paid in advance for several years of membership will not be charged the new fee until the end of the period covered by the fee.
